FENIX NTM is an innovative material created for interior
design by Arpa Industriale in Italy. It is produced by the simultaneous application
of heat (approx. 150 °C) and high specific pressure (> 7 MPa) in order to have a
homogeneous non-porous high-density product.
The core structure of FENIX NTM is composed of paper impregnated with thermosetting
resins. Its external surface involves the use of nanotechnology and its color is
obtained through next generation acrylic resins cured by Electron Beam Process.
With low light reflectivity, its surface is extremely opaque, anti-fingerprint and features a very pleasant soft touch. Thanks to the use of nanotechnologies, FENIX NTM thermally heals any superficial micro-scratches, as its name indicates.
In addition, FENIX NTM is highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, rubbing and dry heat. It also withstands impacts, acid-based solvents and household reagents. It significantly reduces the bacterial load making its surface hygienic and easy to clean. It is also liquid repellent and mold-proof.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
The Thin version of FENIX NTM must be placed onto a substrate and is similar to HPL laminate panels in terms of workability, without needing any special equipment. Edges can be applied to the material using two different methods: using 1.2mm thick FENIX NTM with polyurethane glue, or using industrial edging systems, with ABS edges or polymer material, either with traditional methods, new laser systems or hot air systems.
The Solid version is workable with a machining centre/pantograph and diamond milling, using similar machining methods as for compact HPL.
VERSATILE
AND MACHINING-FRIENDLY
FENIX NTM has outstanding aesthetic and performance characteristics; machining it is easy and it is very simple to handle. It is suitable for different interior design applications: kitchen, bathroom, furniture, healthcare, hospitality, office, transportation, elevators, doors.
The FENIX NTM Thin version can be used for making edges using the same design with a thickness of 1.2 mm or using ABS/PP edges developed in partnership with Rehau, Döllken and Ostermann. Polyurethane glue is required for FENIX NTM 1.2 edges. ABS or polymer edges can be glued with hot melt adhesives, by using new laser systems or with air systems.
FENIX NTM Thin is coated on the medium and consequently does not require special equipment for working which is comparable to HPL laminate.
NANOTECH ALLOY
FOR INTERIOR DESIGN
FENIX NTA is a super matt smart material with a real metal layer and the features of the FENIX family. Its external surface involves the use of multilayer coatings, nanotechnology and next-generation acrylic resins, hardened and fixed with the Electron Beam Curing process.
FENIX NTA has an excellent technical performance and an astonishing aesthetic appeal. Its real metal layer makes it an elegant and timeless material able to add value to the interior and industrial design projects. It is perfect for horizontal applications as well as vertical uses (Kitchen, Bathroom, Furniture, Healthcare, Hospitality, Office, Transportation, Elevators). The new FENIX is easy to machine and it is ideal for edging and for solutions that need a long-lasting and non-corrosive metallic material.
A groundbreaking material available in two panel sizes (3050 mm x 1300 mm and 4200 mm x 1300 mm) and in the following thicknesses: Thin (0.7 mm, 1.2 mm), Solid (4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm).
